John Kaldor

John Kaldor

John Kaldor AM is one of Australia's most significant public patrons and private collectors of international contemporary art. Kaldor Art Projects, which commenced in 1969 with Christo &Jeanne-Claude's Wrapped coast one million square feet, Little Bay, Sydney, has brought many cutting-edge artists to Australia. Mr Kaldor is the Australian Commissioner for the 2005 Venice Biennale, he is on the International Council of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Modern in London; he was formerly Chairman of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney and a Trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Mr Kaldor's contribution to contemporary art was acknowledged with the award of the Order of Australia in 1994. He is also the founder of John Kaldor Fabricmaker.
 
George Alexander

George Alexander

George Alexander has worked as Coordinator of Contemporary Art Programmes at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, for the last seven years. Since the early 1970s he has worn a diagonal path between literature and the visual arts, writing for performance, radio and the printed page, as well as a diverse array of art criticism.

Jim and Mary Barr

Jim Barr and Mary Barr have been freelance curators since 1981. Their exhibitions have included survey shows of Neil Dawson, Peter Peryer and et al. They have also curated thematic exhibitions, including 'When Art Hits the Headlines', 'Who Do I Think I Am?' and 'Sculpitecture'. They write regularly on New Zealand art and culture for catalogues, books and magazines, including recent articles on artists Shane Cotton and Michael Parekowhai.

Sarah Thomas

Sarah Thomas has held various curatorial positions and was most recently Curator of Australian Art at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide. She has curated numerous exhibitions including 'The Encounter, 1802: Art of the Flinders and Baudin Voyages', 'Dark Visions: The Etchings of Goya' and 'Hossein Valamanesh: A survey'. She is a regular contributor to art journals in Australia and is currently working as a freelance art adviser, writer, editor, valuer and curator in Melbourne
 
Juliana Engberg

Juliana Engberg

Juliana Engberg is Artistic Director of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne. She was visual arts curator for the Melbourne International Arts Festival from 2000 to 2005, and more recently, senior curatorial adviser for the Australian presentations at the 2007 Venice Biennale.
